How AI is governed here
Last reviewed 23 September 2026
Beta v1.1 — Pumpkin Squashing is in beta testing. You may run into bugs or glitches here and there. Thank you for your patience.
This page is about process: who directs AI assistance on this project, what gets checked before it ships, and where AI is not allowed near the running site. What was actually produced with AI help is covered separately, on the AI disclosure page.
Placeholder text. Read it against how the site actually behaves before launch, and have counsel look at anything that makes a promise.
Who is accountable
Project Research LLC directs and is responsible for everything on this site, however it was produced. Using an AI assistant to write code or copy does not move that accountability anywhere else.
Human review before anything ships
- A person decides what the site is for and what it will not do.
- AI-assisted changes are read and tested before they are published, not merged unread.
- Legal and policy pages — this one included — are treated as drafts until a person familiar with the site's actual behaviour, and where appropriate counsel, has checked them against it.
No AI at runtime
Nothing on the live site calls out to an AI model while you play. The gourds fall, the sounds play, and the settings save the same way for every visitor, from a fixed, reviewed set of files. See the white paper for why the site is built with no network calls during play at all.
Data used to build this site
No visitor data — because none is collected — has been used to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any model in connection with this site. Development conversations with AI tools are treated as any other design material: reviewed by a person, not published as-is, and not a source of visitor information because they don't contain any.
Attribution
Where AI assistance materially contributed to a file, that is reflected honestly rather than hidden or overclaimed. The AI disclosure page lists this in specific terms; source history carries the same record for anyone who looks at it directly.
Raising a concern
If something on this site looks like it was shipped without the review described above, or behaves in a way that suggests otherwise, say so on the contact page. Security-specific concerns go through the security page instead.
